| Welcome to Bronco Labradors |
| Bronco Labradors is a small but serious breeding kennel located in rural central Ohio. We are dedicated to producing multipurpose Labradors for confirmation (show), obedience, and companionship. We purchased our first Labrador, Bronco, in 1994. After deciding to get into Search and Resuce, we acquired Big Sky’s Afterschool Special – AKA “Lucas” in 1995, who was trained and later became a member of Ohio Task Force One (OHTF1). OHTF1 was one of many FEMA Search and Rescue Teams who deployed to New York on September 11, 2001. Lucas worked at the World Trade Center site for 10 days and retired after that mission. A picture and more on Lucas can be viewed on the “Past Dogs” page. In 1996, we then knew that Labradors were the dogs we wanted to breed and so we purchased our first brood bitch. Our first litter was born in 1999. We breed one or two litters per year and our breeding stock are all registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and receive medical clearances for hips, elbows, eyes and hearts. The puppies are raised in the house, as they are expected to be good citizens, with sound Labrador temperament to be true “buddies”. Information on puppies can be found on the “Puppies” page. We are members of the Central Ohio Labrador Retriever Club. |
